Character Generation

Zombie is so rules-lite and fast-paced that we rarely bother with characters at all.  However, you are free to put as much input as you want into your character; so you could just be "man with gun 1" or "Captain who loathes the Cultists but can't bring himself to kill them" or some rich and complex character with pages of backstory.  You can also come up with a team backstory, if you'd like - a team of religious Zealots, a hard-boiled team of ex-SAS, "Team Irish" and so forth.  However much or little you do is entirely your decision.  Similarly, as a Cultist, you should feel free to improvise a character for yourself - brave follower of Kramer, cowardly and inept sorcerer, etc.

However, should you want to play a character but not waste any time coming up with a story, there is now an Official Zombie Character Generator which was in no way written up at 3am last night.  Simply roll a D6 four times on the tables below.

TRAUMATIC PAST TABLE (D6)

1 - Orphan; village killed by Zombies

2 - Amnesia

3 - Killed a man (roll a further D6; 1-3 'Cause you had nothing to lose 4-6 Just to watch him die)

4 - Tragedy Survivor (roll a further D6; 1-2 Air 3-4 Magical Experiment Gone Wrong 5-6 Showgirls the Motion Picture)

5 - Forbidden Love (roll a further D6; 1-3 Zombie 4-6 Horse)

6 - Dark and Hidden Desire

COMEDY ACCENT TABLE (D6)

5 - Jamaican

6 - Roll D3 times on the table.  All apply.  If you roll the an accent twice, it doubles in thickness.

1 - Calls everyone "Sparky"

2 - Imaginary pet gerbil "at home"

3 - Really regrets breaking the smoking ban

4 - Doesn't like guns

5 - Fears formal neckwear
